The intense longing of love, the deep understanding that time will always move, the impossible desire to freeze that smile, that laugh, that beautiful expression so that it can take up a lifetime in our hearts. The wrestling always with the being here and the letting go. The condition of this beautiful life.

A powerful antimicrobial that works well for cough syrup and as a nontoxic household cleaning agent.

This is a winter German variety with good flavor and yield. We selected this variety because Germans are so hospitable with us, and we love our time with them. We sourced from both Eden Brother Seeds from North Carolina and Johnny’s Select seeds from Maine. It is a classic culinary and ornamental herb. Small, round to needle-shaped evergreen leaves on woody stems. One needs to mulch in cold winter climates.

Start seeds in flats 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Sow seeds on top of the growing medium and cover with a thin layer of soil mix. Keep moist until germination. Transplant to individual containers when plants have 4 true leaves. After the last frost in spring, transplant outside and space 8-12“ apart, Pinch off growing tips of upright growing varieties to make bushier plants.
